Book Two Stricken

I am underway through the first draft of the second book in the Embraced by Darkness series. Stricken is picking up directly where the first book ended with Karalay recovered and helping pick up the pieces of the war savaged Diggamara. She will descend to the mines beneath the city and, finally, after five hundred years, heal the wounds, put the bodies to rest, but she will solve no mysteries, only find something wet and dark that never sleeps that she buries deep. With Jaridd at her side, will she return to the Wards, or slip away forever in his arms, as was promised?

Jezaline returns with her champions to the Draegoone royalty and the bitter winter, settling in from the white capped seas of the north. She will take the crown Kilikan offers her and try to pretend that she will not be their undoing. She will attempt to forget that Waltruk, the Vamepire king, is coming for her.

Osondrous remains at the castle with no word to hear of whether the others have survived or not. With her wounds festering and her guilt eating her alive there is nothing the warlord can do. There are rumors and the rumors are decaying her heart slowly, the rivers are gone, the time of peace is over. What will become of them? What army of creatures will now sweep in for the Humans? She is prepared, she is a Warlord, but she is tired and she knows they are very weak.

BOOK TWO – Stricken, will remain in the same epic scale of the first book but the stakes are now higher. With the crystal shards gone the rivers that have protected them for five hundred years are now gone. When once the Wards stood strong, there is a gale force coming that they have no chance of standing before. Stricken is about running, its about making the decisions on who is left behind.

UPDATE! So I have decided on the name for the second book: It will be Stricken. At least as far as I know it as of yet. Book Two is moving for me, something I am very excited about. You can read my blog if you want more details but for now I have completed the Prologue and Part One and I’m sitting at around 45,000 words. As always check back soon for more updates!
